Welcome to the Northern Division G International Speech and Evaluation Contest Website.

Our Very first on-line contest will be an exciting adventure as well as a challenge.

The question is, Can we capture the excitement, drama, and atmosphere of a real Toasmasters International Contest and transfer it to the online sphere?

excited Broup vs headphones

From rubbing elbows to rubbing Electrons

Can we maintain the fantastic personal interactions, the spirit of Toastmasters while maintaining the social separation imposed by the COVOD 19 pandemic.
We got out from behind the lectern, we understand how to use visual aids == Why not technology too? As Toastmasters, we have learned how to communicate, and share out knowledge in many ways. We are used to melding fact, interest, and emotion to show others what we mean. NO Problem
         We can do it
                 We're Toastmasters!

Join us on the journey to new horizons.  Think about it, People from Hackensack, Paris, Yokahama, and London can join in our experience almost as easily as from Oregon and Washington. Help us expand our scope, Learn new ways of Communicating, and pushing communications skills in new directions.

Speaker

Hear and watch
the best local communicators.

The winners may go on
to inernational honors.
The yearly International Speech Contest is a series of competitions.
In each local Toastmasters club, the members compete to represent their club at an are contest.
Winners at the area contest go on to compete at ever higher level, culminating at an International contest where the winner is the best communicator in the Toastmastes world.
On line this year
Normally, Speech contests happen in a big room with a large audience of people who appreciate great communications.

COVID 19 gives us the opportunity to open the audience to home. On your computer, smart phone, or just by calling in.
This contest will show you how well we can communicate from our own homes.
People conduct family meetings, work from home, all kinds of get-togethers.
Join us and you will find out how you can apply on-line meetings in your own life.
It will be a blast.
Toastmasters
compete
in two categories, Best Speaker,
and
Best Evaluator
Best Speaker
Each contestant may give a humorous, entertaining talk, perhaps an important personal experience, or informing  us of something important.
These are not just people talking off the cuff. Every speech is important enough for a great speaker to spend the time and effort to make it their best effort.
-
Every talk will be entertaining, some will knock your socks off.
-
All will be worth listening to and watching
.Best Evaluator
Learning antything, especially learning how to communicate well requires effort.
But beyond that effort, one of the most importatn learning experiences is to get feedback, help improving what you do by kind advice.
A good evaluator encourages you on what you do best, and offers assistance in how to improve.
The Best Evaluator tests Toastmasters on how well the evaluate speakers, and the quality of their mentoring assistance.
